Social Studies 8G - Finished reading pages 242 - 243.  For homework, students are to complete the worksheet about the Legacy of the Moors on Spain.

Social Studies 8G - No class today due to assembly. Students handed i their  Mapping assignment (maps & chart).

Social Studies 9B - Finished reviewing questions from yesterday. Began to look at individual rights and collective rights in relation to immigration policy. Reviewed pages 180 - 181. Handed out Immigration Issues questions which are due: Wednesday: March 4th.

Social Studies 9B - Watched a video about healthcare for refugees in Canada. Students read pages 178-179 and completed handout questions.  We will finish reviewing the questions tomorrow.

Social Studies 9D -  Finished the questions from last class. Began to look at page 180 and the Singh decision.

Social Studies 9B - Finished reviewing the article "Elderly immigrants do contribute".  Presented annotation notes and watched a video about how to annotate.  For homework, students are to read and annotate the article:"The Chosen Ones - A History of Selective Immigration". Students should also write out vocabulary words they are not familiar with.
