Reviewed changes to Canada's immigration policy between 1976 and 2002 (p. 179).  Reviewed the Singh decision (pages180-182).  Began to discuss different perspectives of the Singh Decision.

Social Studies 9E - Finished reviewing the article about Elderly immigrants. Students took notes about annotation.  Watched a video about annotation.  For homework, students are to read and annotate the article: "The chosen ones."
 
Social Studies 9G  - Reviewed the video about the roma people and reviewed the refugee act objectives on page 177.  Watched several videos about refugees.  Review pages 177-178, and watched a video about Canada's former policy about not giving health care to immigrants.

Reviewed pages 169-170 about the point system for economic immigrants. Students completed the activity where they acted as immigration agents and evaluated the criteria used for the point system.
