Social Studies 8C -  Watched a video about three levels of government.  Looked at the responsibilities of School Trustees.   Next class will be research time for evaluating candidates.

Social Studies 8E  - Watched a video about three levels of government.  Looked at the responsibilities of School Trustees.  Students had class time to research election candidates.

Social Studies 9B - NO CLASS TODAY. Reviewed the worksheet : "What is your Opinion". Began looking at controversial issues.  Students took notes on what makes for a controversial issue.  Conducted 4 corner discussion.

Social Studies 9D  -NO CLASS TODAY.  Reviewed the "Spot and Respond to the Issue Organizer".  Students watched a video about the Gun Registry in Canada.  Students were assigned the article: "The Gun Law: Pro and Con".  Students should read the article and write the response on the back page  (this is due next class).
